Our church was formed in 1893 as First Baptist Church of Dover NJ We have a 10 Acre plot of land with a building that has no mortgage and beautiful grounds. The building has been updated in the past three years and still have a few projects that need compleating. our average attendance is around 75 but our roles have about 100 members and several attendees. We have a three bedroom parsonage in desirable White Meadow Lake Community in Rockaway Township. It has many amenaties such as boating fishing swimming and tennis courts as well as ballfields. We are LOCATED IN ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP AND OUR MAILING ADDRESS IS DOVER NEW JERSEY we are located in Morris county NJ with a total population of 510,000 people. We are in need of a pastor with a vison to lead us into the future and grow the church bringing the young families that reside around our building. Finacially we are totally stable and willing to reach out to the community
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time pastor to lead our congregation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities in accordance with biblical standards in 1 Timothy 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-9, Exodus 18:19-23, and Acts 20:28., the pastor should be male (1 Timothy 2:12 and 3:2-7). A calling to pastoral ministry, a knowledge and understanding of the Bible, and prior experience in ministry leadership are essential. A Bachelor’s in theology from an accredited university or seminary is required; a Master's of Divinity is preferred but required
We are looking for a pastor who will:
Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity and relevance
Provide pastoral care and counseling to congregation members
Leading or facilitating Bible studies, prayer meetings, and other activities that encourage spiritual growth
Overseeing the administration and operations of the church in collaboration with the Deacon Board and memebership
Engaging in community outreach and evangelism efforts to fulfill the Great Commission
Salary commensurate with experience
