Children's Pastor

We are seeking a Children's Pastor to join our staff. The Children’s Pastor is the shepherd, leader, and overseer of all Children’s Ministry at Pine Valley Church. If it is a couple, there is also a possibility, if interested and/or qualified, that we could hire the spouse as well in a part time position working with communications/social media and computer duties, as well as some worship. The part time position is not necessary in order to fill the full-time position.  But if both husband and wife are interested in ministry, then this might make things better.

Responsibilities/Duties of Children's Pastor include but are not limited to:

Participate in weekly staff meetings.
Conduct monthly Children’s Ministry Team Meetings.
Responsibility for oversight and leadership of children’s ministry areas: Sunday School, Children’s Church, Wednesday Night After School Program, Nursery, and other events throughout the year.
Recruit, train, pray for, and involve new children’s ministry volunteers.
Provide training opportunities for all Children’s Ministry workers throughout the year.
Run background checks for new workers according to CO Department of Human Services guidelines.
Research and purchase curriculum for Children’s Ministry.
Create and effectively manage budgets for Children’s Ministry.
Cast Vision & Values for Children’s Ministry with Children’s Team & congregation.
Support and incorporate Children’s Ministry opportunities to support adult ministries in conjunction with adult ministry leaders.
Network with local Children’s Ministry leaders.
