About Open Door Church
Open Door Church is a thriving multi-campus church based in Edenton, NC, committed to raising the bar for ministry in our region. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead in both worship ministry and media production, helping us create impactful worship experiences and digital content.
Key Responsibilities
Music Director:
• Lead the band and oversee musical arrangements for worship services.
• Serve as a high-capacity keyboard player (preferred); proficiency in multiple instruments is a plus.
• Recruit, train, and develop musicians to strengthen the worship team.
• Work with the worship leader and creative team to plan and execute setlists that align with sermon themes and the church’s vision.
• Ensure the highest quality of musical excellence in both live and recorded settings.
Podcast Producer & Media Oversight:
• Produce and edit a weekday staff podcast and the weekend service podcast.
• Oversee sound, video recording, and other media needs to enhance digital content.
• Work with the staff to develop creative and engaging content for the church’s media platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong musical ability with a passion for leading worship.
• Proficiency in keyboard (preferred) and other instruments.
• Experience leading a band in a church setting.
• Knowledge of worship software (Ableton, Multitracks, Planning Center) and audio/video production tools.
• Experience in podcast recording, editing, and distribution (Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar).
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• A self-motivated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
